Don't tread here: The world's most polluted bodies of water

Spotted this today on Yahoo. Whilst these are hardly OW swimming venues, it's another timely reminder how man ignores the consequences of his actions and allows our beautiful earth to decay in front of us. Why is nothing being done to reverse this terrible damage? Whilst these are just 10 examples, there must be 1,000's of lakes and rivers in similar condition.
