Bosphorus Crossing and Pilot

hi! Traveling to Istanbul in November and looking to hire a pilot cross the Bosphorus with my daughter. My grandmother swam it over 80 years ago and wanting to come full circle. Any suggestions on a pilot? I know it's chilly then but swim in SF Bay year round.

I wouldn't swim with the Mother of Pilots, the Bosphorus, other than the classical day of crossing.
It has very strong currents, you can do it only one way ("downwards") and there is a lot of boat traffic on it.
Even with a pilot, you most probably would require a lot of authorizations.

Also, the direct crossing is like 1-2 kms. The historical crossing is about 6-7kms in diagonal, which doesn't make it a marathon swim.

But! I wish you good luck, to make it when you plan it.
