Any marathon swimmers near Sherman or Branford, CT?

Hi all — I’ve been spending the summer in Sherman, CT and was wondering whether there are any marathon swimmers around here who swim in Candlewood Lake? Would love to be able to get some long swims in, especially since most events this summer have obviously been canceled. (Also moving to Branford soon, so if anyone swims over there in the Sound, let me know!) Thanks!

    There is a group on facebook called Connecticut Open Water Swimming (C.O.W.S.) - I know they have swims at Hammonasset state beach (not too far from Branford) and other places in the area. If you're not on FB let me know, I can pull together some email addresses for you.
