NYOW 2020

Worldwide current events have made it impossible for us to move forward with our 2020 open water schedule.

Like most everyone else, we are settling into routines of isolation and remote communication unsure of how long it might last and equally unsure of how we will emerge from this secure.

We are of course heart broken that our ability to support our not-for-profit partners financially will be greatly diminished this year but know that the OWS community as a whole and individually will continue to rally for these causes.

Stay healthy and honor those working hard to keep the world turning.

Peace

So sorry to hear this, but it’s the only reasonable decision given the way things are. Stay safe.

Right decision. Better to be healthy and swim another day!

Yes. Not an easy choice when so much effort and planning go into your swims, especially the longest ones. But I support you in this choice, while daring to hope we can all be back in the water again ASAP.

  • Really nothing else you could do. Thanks to you and Rondi and Alex for all the great swims you've organized. This is going to be a long dry period, alas.
