Just saw Where Dreams Go To Die last night in SF. Highly recommended, especially as part of the "world tour" that includes the Q&A with Gary and Ethan.

_Inspired to Ride _ is another film available on Netflix regarding crazy endurance athletes. This is a coast to coast bicycle race across America, but unlike it's more famous cousin the fully supported Race Across America (RAAM) I.E. where support meaning vans carrying gear, mechanics, meals, spare bicycles. This race has no support, riders have to carry or buy there own gear, meals etc. If theirs a mechanical problem they have to fix it themselves or find a bike shop to fix it for them etc. Very much in the spirit of the Barkley Marathons.

It's Barkley Marathons weekend! Moved up a week and the conch was blown at 847 pm, EST. Race starts at 947. Cheering for Gary Robbins all the way.

And Laz is already messing with people. Race hasn't started yet, but it will soon. :-)

Not as "exciting" as the Barkley documentary, but just finished watching "3100 Run and Become" about the Self-Transcendence 3100-mile running race around the same city block in New York City -- every August. The spirituality of the event and its founder was uplifting.
