Strongman (woman) Swimming anyone?

Can't help but doubt some of the times/distances he talks about in some of the videos. But anyone wanting to swim 40KM attached to a tree is clearly going above and beyond!

Love it - it looks like it 40km but its only 32km then he fails twice and then goes on about he is gonna swim 100k.

Wouldn't a tropical holiday be really nice! You can tie me to a tree and throw me in a tropical location with a bit of current at the moment!

I sent this to a client who is training for a Navy Seal competition, and told him he needs to up his game. ;)
We decided that my client is going to pull a battleship instead of this silly log business.

He's at it again! This time attempting to be the first to circumnavigate Great Britain without touching land!

That's 2000 miles in 100 days without touching land at any point.

I had the pleasure of speaking with him before he actually tried. He was eager but I am not sure he is concerned about actually completing any of his expeditions. Let alone, completing them according to rules/standards we would all follow.

Thanks for posting about this guy, I had never heard of him before and has provided some interesting reading material for the day.

It's hard enough without the log.

  • How does one go about getting sponsored to do silly things around the world with little intention of finishing them? This boggles my mind every time is see these stunts- as stated earlier, if i get a trip to an exotic island (ok maybe not Britain) I'd be happy to drag a log around :P

It would be interesting to see his observer logs (if they exist). Is any organisation ratifying the swim?

Only watched the first video where he claimed to actually swim 14.2 km (by gps) in 3:58 while pulling 100 lb log. He must have caught DN's magic current cause no way he's holding that pace in the video.
