She STILL GOING.. soo close.. this is going to be a Female first.. send her some love.. the fb page has a short video clip.. form is good but.. uh she looks a little tired.. ( can't imagine why;)
Dave's description of Jaimie as "ever-humble" is spot on. She has an amazing swim resume but just goes about it quietly and without fanfare. Also, I think she will have a decent shot at this year's "Barra Award" as she has: Antarctica Ice swim, End-Wet, Rose Pitonof, Lake Geneva and maybe other things I don't know about.
Way to go, Jaimie!

Aww - thanks guys, know I am a bit late to the table coming here but you have no idea how much I appreciated all the good thoughts and lovely comments during the swim. Also for anyone thinking about doing the Lake Geneva swim please feel free to reach out to me with questions!
I lived in Lausanne for 6 years and the dream of swimming across the lake from Evian to Lausanne (the lake's widest point at @13k) was what got me into long distance swimming ... but length ways.... nuts!!
It's not warm water either, even in summer, Lac Leman is fed from the mountains and whilst the first metre is warmish, below that its freezing.

...anything worth doing is worth overdoing.
