Koh Samui?

Anyone have recommendations for good locations in Koh Samui for swimming? May be heading there at the end of the year and would prefer to pick a hotel near a good swimming beach :-)

  • I stayed at the Hansar Hotel which has a marked off swimming beach and a 25 meter pool. As has often happened to me in Thailand, got itchy after some beach swimming and stuck to the pool (was training heavily and wanted to get my yards in)! Water quality can be a challenge, but the Hansar was a decent venue. I'd be happy to hear about some good beaches as well, may be back there in october

looks we will stay at the Sheraton based on reviews indicating it has a half way decent beach. Hopefully can avoid Seabather's Eruption

It sounds like it would be safer to swim naked!

It's always a bad hair day when you work at a pool.

Nip up to Koh Tao and swim around the island, lovely 8 hour swim.

Wherever you swim please make sure you tow a swim float so as you can be seen by boats and other vehicles.
