Vidösternsimmet - 21.5km lake swim in Sweden

I'm signed up for my second participation to the Vidösternsimmet, aka Sweden's longest swimming race. I believe it will be the fourth edition next year. They've increased the number of entries for the main swim quite drastically, so it's up to 100 spots this time around, with about 2/3 of them already filled.
Some forum members have already taken part in it, some more than once!

Anyone here who feels like signing up and coming to Sweden to say Hi to me?

Nope, I tried it in 2012 but gave up after 13km. These days I'm testing my f/c speed.

Have to get back to the ancestral homeland before I die.

In case anyone of you has a weekend without a big swim around the 9th of August, book your plane tickets to Sweden already and come and say hi! The swim is 21.5K, navigation up to the swimmer and a couple of "pit stops" on land.
There's about 20 spots left for the main race and they do take real good care of the people accompanying you (anyone familiar with the work "fika"?!).
Most participants use a wetsuits, but exemptions may be granted.
Also this year we will have a visitor from the south of France, J.Tuset aka the most "prolific" french open-water swimmer of this generation !!

I have signed up for the 2020 race which has been postponed to 2021. Anyone here else as well?
Also, there is now an "unofficial" invitation-only 42 km "Viking" category which consists of an "escorted" swim from the finish to the start, timed to the start of the official 21 km race. Anyone here doing that?
