Rose Pitonof Swim Registration Open (21 June '13)

Just got a email from Deanne Draeger saying that the Pitonof swim registration is now open. From the email:

You can register for the August 10, 2013 Rose Pitonof Swim here:

The pricing is still:
$500/solo swimmer
$850/two person relay
$700/fuel reimbursement to motorboat support

(And everyone still needs to complete and submit proof of a 3-hours or longer QualifyingSwim by July 13, 2013 in order to be eligible to participate.)

I did it in 2011 and it was great fun. Definately recommended.

    Almost forgot about this LBJ! Am living now in Dubai and water temperature is a warm 30C+, just did 10km this morning and it feels like training in a jacuzzi. What's the temp in East River?

    Wie Gehts, Tobias? Dubai? You do get around.
    I almost puked when I read 30 degrees - that would kill me.
    Temp in East River is about 20 degrees at the moment. It will probably be 22-24 degrees or so by August.
    If you can get away, it IS a fun event.
