Munster Open Water Championships 2013

This year, we will have the first Munster Open Water Championships on 17 & 18 August! There are 5 km, 10 km and 25 km individual events as well as a 5 x 5 km relay event. The 5 km will double as Irish 5 km Junior Championships and the 25 km individual event will double as Irish 25 km Championships. The 10 km is also part of an Irish Marathon Swim Series...

These events will take place in Inniscarra Reservoir near Cork City. You can read a bit more about these events on my blog here: Exciting August 2013 on Irish Open Water Circuit

These events aren't exclusive to swimmers from Munster or Ireland, if you might be interested in swimming make sure to get in contact...

Just so that everyone is aware, there have been some changes to the programme for these events. The 25 km has, unfortunately, been cancelled due to financial, logistical and safety concerns and all events will now take place on Saturday, 17 August 2013 at the state-of-the-art National Rowing Centre on the southern side of the lake.
