The Art of Swimming
Every so often I run across an artist that somehow captures an essence of swimming, so I thought I'd share this recent find. Hopefully it's OK to share this link and photo. The artist is Stephanie Rocknak.

I think I've said it before that golf is a game, football is a sport and swimming is an art. So I guess this is art about art. I hope you enjoy this piece and check out the website for a sample of her incredible work. BTW, no affiliation or anything, I just think it's pretty cool.
Also, apparently I have no idea how to pop a picture into this post or to create a link, so you have to look at the spastic addresses and click on them to see what I'm trying to show you. Sorry for my ineptitude, but hopefully you are curious enough to not be scared to click the links.

In Vigo (in the Spanish Finisterre) there's this bronze sculpture, "The swimmer" by Francisco Leiro. It's almost inside the port, 100 meters from the water. I found it by chance, and I thought it was a good metaphor of our sport: it's half hidden in a square, without any signpost, any plaque, any information.
It's big, you can walk under the elbow without bending down - though you can bow to it, as I did!

@curly I liked it very much. The picture with it protruding from the wall is amazing. I wonder what would be the prize...
