I'm in! October 10th date.
Who else?
July 14th here. Looking forward to it!
July 14th also. Seeking some clarification as to where we get on the boat to start the swim. I understand that our swim starts a Pier A, but think I heard that we get on the boat to get to Pier A at either Pier 25 or 40. Is that understanding correct?
@EricDurban did you get a chance to watch the webinar from the other night? I haven't had a chance to yet (looking forward to it!) but they may have talked about boarding logistics there. In 2017 when I was crew, we did get on the boats on the west side and then motor to the start. Otherwise I know @david_barra could tell you ?
When I swam it in 2019 (Mill Rock start), we boarded the boats at North Cove Yacht Harbor on the lower Hudson. Almost certainly the harbor @kejoyce is referring to.

Hi.
Really looking forward to the swim on 9th September.
2 questions:
1. Is there a tradition of swimming backstroke under the George Washington bridge?
2. I am sorting out travel and as part of the US visa / ESTA application I require a contact in the USA - can we use NYOW? and if so where can I find the street address / telephone number etc. (I cant´t see it on the website).
Many thanks
Will
The first 20 Bridges swimmers of the season are in the water. Follow on https://track.rs/NYOW
Question regarding track.rs. During the webinar I think I heard that NYOW will be supplying the tracker. Is this correct? If so, since there will be two swimmers in the water at the same time (three in my case as my swim is a tandem) how will the swimmers be differentiated? i.e. what website should I give to those who might be interested in tracking my progress?
Or is my understanding incorrect and I'll need to arrange the tracker directly with Track/rs? TIA.
Yes NYOW provides the tracking device. If you follow the link above (https://track.rs/NYOW) during one of their swims, you can see how swimmers are differentiated.
If you want a tracking page just for yourself, without the other swimmers, you are welcome to register separately.
Alex, where did you buy your bottles with the hook in them? I’ve been using bike bottles with zip ties to get a loop. Time to upgrade for this swim.
Just to butt in....here is what I use. They are great. Nice, insulated sleeve attached to a twelve foot leash. Works beautifully. Drop the bottle in, toss it out to you, reel it back in, boom you're done. All the best.

@shwilliams4 just to give you another alternative, I use these Lock& Lock bottles. Bought 6 and used them for Catalina and 20 Bridges. Easy to open and they have a decent sized aperture to allow for rapid drinking. If you look down the page at where it says Series, you can see the collar and strap.

Antonio Arguelles will be attempting 40 Bridges this morning! Believe he may have already pushed off and started. Mill Rock start. (Dan Simonelli one of his escorts.)
Antonio is certainly well promoted, but Erica Esterly and Mayra Santos are also swimming today.
