Ok that makes a lot of sense re:weight. I have a basic float and I hate how it blows around. Perhaps, I will try one of the ones that I can weight down! Thanks so much!
We use those buoys in training for visibility purpose, and some of the races held in open water with the possibility of boat traffic require one as well.
However, I've seen some other races which also require participants to use one even it is held in closed lakes / when the harbour is closed for traffic, in such cases I don't even want to enter.
