This thread relates to Nick Thomas.
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Nick Thomas, 45, who previously successfully swam the Channel in 2014, who died early this morning according to media, on an Enduroman attempt.
We also recognise Nick's pilot and support crew, those who attended the scene and the wider Channel & marathon swimming community at this loss.
I wrote something a few years ago after the tragic loss of our friend Paraic Casey in 2012 that remains true.
It's impossible for those on the inside to explain Channel swimming to those on the outside looking in.
It's impossible for those on the outside to understand Channel swimming looking in.
