Yes, it's not a marathon, but my friend and I will be in Turkey shortly, and would like to cross it because of its links to Greek myth, Shakespeare, and the poet Lord Byron. I'd appreciate any help with the usual logistics. It's a very busy waterway so we'd be more comfortable with a local looking out for us. Anyone who's swum it, or knows about it, please share. Thanks.
